Our project is a transversal curriculum based on the idea that effective learning is only possible if a positive emotional and social situation is present. Well-being is a state in which pupils are able to develop their potential, to learn effectively and to play creatively. Well-being at school for students means feeling safe, valued, respected, having positive relationships with teachers and peers, being actively engaged in academic and social activities, feeling a sense of belonging to their classroom and school, feeling happy and satisfied with their lives at school. Schools are key places for the promotion of mental health and well-being among young people. Actually, children spend a considerable amount of time at school during a critical period for the development of their personality and socio-emotional competences. For this reason, our aim is to create a positive atmosphere by means of activities which will allow our students to best express themselves and to create positive relationships both in their classroom / school and in virtual transnational groups.
Our aim is to teach bullying prevention and kindness to all ages of our primary school pupils. While we cannot fully control what challenges our children will face at some point in their lives, as teachers we can positively influence how they respond, and what they do and also provide that enabling environment for them to learn the right social and interpersonal skills to help them to manage in a prosperous society. We do believe that the spread of kindness will help our students to learn better and to become better future citizens in our society, and around the world. Kindness builds empathy, and social and emotional skills and makes children more resilient. It is an essential core value that creates a positive and supportive environment for all.
